There are many different types of raw ore clay in the world, each with its own unique mineral composition. By carefully selecting and blending different types of raw ore clay, potters can create a wide range of unique and beautiful planters that are perfect for any home decor.

To begin the pottery-making process, raw ore clay is first dug out of high altitude mountains. The clay is then crushed and sifted into a fine, coarse texture and sorted into piles according to color and texture.

Each pile of clay requires a different amount of water to blend, which has a direct impact on the handling of the clay during the pottery-making process, as well as the temperature of the kiln and the stabilization needed to keep the shapes in the kiln. The amount of water added to the clay also affects the usable yield of the finished planters.
